Why do you think it is that with everything that we know about the processes that lead to our skin breaking down as we age, nobody has been able to “discover” a natural substance that reverses skin aging? There has to be at least one of them out there doesn’t there?

Cosmetics companies most certainly have the money and the resources to allow the scientists in their research and development teams hunt down the best and most effective natural substances, so why are they sitting on their hands instead of looking for an answer?

To be fair, there are some companies that have been actively seeking a natural substance that reverses skin aging, but not many. The major cosmetics companies are the one that have been relatively inactive when it comes to finding more effective ingredients for their products.

They don’t really need to play too active a role since most of what they produce doesn’t have a single natural compound in it. They are famous for their use of potentially harmful chemicals to make up their products. Not only are these ingredients bad for you, but they have no positive effect on your skin.

They are the ones who have far money for research and development than the smaller companies in the industry, and yet they do absolutely nothing in the way of trying to find a natural substance that reverses skin aging. They would rather continue using their low cost, do nothing ingredients.

Luckily for us there are companies that are seeking out natural substance that reverses skin aging, and at least one of these midsized companies is having great success. They have uncovered a natural ingredient that increases the production of collagen and elastin.

The company that made this discovery is based in New Zealand. They have for years been respected for being a natural nutritional products developer. It has only been within the last couple of years that they have made the jump over to natural anti aging skin care products.

Their natural substance that reverses skin aging is actually a melding of two proteins called Functional Keratin. The company found these unusual proteins as being present in the wool of a certain sheep is native to the island nation. It has been proven to increase collagen in numerous scientific trials.

Of course that is not the only amazingly effective ingredient that they have in their all natural skin care products. They have also found that by using an extract from a type of kelp exclusively found in the Sea of Japan that they can raise your levels of hyaluronic acid back to normal.

This natural substance that reverses skin aging along with Functional Keratin provide you with everything that you need in order to return the youthful appearance that you enjoyed for so many years. The routine use of this company’s anti aging skin care formulas will lead your friends to envy you, and have them begging to know just what your little secret is.

There’s nothing like an Irish Coffee - tasty, invigorating and energising. It was invented by a barman named Joe Sheridan, who was working at Shannon International Airport during the 1940s and wished to provide a refreshing beverage for the tired American travellers disembarking from the eighteen hour transatlantic flight. He developed the Irish coffee, a soothing and sophisticated drink and it took off from there to become the world renowned brand that it is today. If you are passing through Shannon airport, pop in to the Joe Sheridan Café Bar, drink an Irish Coffee and read the plaque honouring his achievement. To make your own, follow these simple steps:

1. Heat up a stemmed whiskey goblet.

2. Pour in a shot of your favourite Irish whiskey.

3. Drop in three teaspoonfuls of brown sugar. (The sugar is essential for floating the cream on the top.)

4. Fill to within two inches of the rim of your favourite black coffee.

5. Stir the contents gently.

6. Add fresh cream, pouring over the back of a spoon to the top. (Whipped cream is sometimes used although it is not the original recipe but it will float even if the coffee is not made with sugar.)

7. Do not stir. The coffee is sipped through the cream.

It should, in the words of it’s creator, have ‘cream as rich as an Irish brogue; coffee as strong as a friendly hand; sugar as sweet as the tongue of a rogue and whiskey as smooth as the wit of the land.’

#1 Rule of Becoming a Successful Speaker - Be (very) LAZY!
category : Writing-and-Speaking:Public-Speaking

Let me repeat. If you want to be a successful speaker on stage, be extremely lazy! And I am not the only wacko that says so. Fred Gratzon, a successful entrepreneur who founded the Great Midwestern Ice Cream Company and a telecommunications company Telegroup that went public in 1997 proved that theory. He even wrote an ebook that convincingly argued how we can do nothing and accomplish everything!

Central to Fred??s book is his personal axiom:

??Success is inversely proportional to hard work. That means, as effort and hard work become less, success becomes more. As you move towards effortlessness, success moves towards infinity.??

In my opinion, Fred??s wacky axiom makes a lot of sense. If you want to become a very successful speaker, you may want to think twice about trudging along the ??hard work?? path. Not that hard work is wrong, but perhaps there is a much easier path that requires less sweat and pain. Who won??t want that? Not unless you are a masochistic weirdo that takes pride in torturing yourself. If that??s the case, I say join the army.

Looking back at how I triumphed over my fear of public speaking and evolved into a gung-ho speaker in a short span of one and a half year, I believe I may have stumbled upon The Alternate Path, a path that Fred described to be of greater ease and effortlessness.

Here??s how you can walk that path. Just five words.

SET YOURSELF UP FOR SUCCESS!

That??s right. Very simple. Very DUH! Yet how many of us are doing it? Fearing public speaking is normal. Most people have it. And there is absolutely no doubt that this fear of ours is huuuuggggggeeeee, even astronomical and VERY real. But how do we handle it? We work really hard to fight it. We read tons of books, e-books and blogs on how to FIGHT our fear. We pay eye-popping, jaw-dropping and gut-wrenching sum of hard-earned money (pun intended!), attempting to ELIMINATE our fear. And sadly for most of us, it all amounts to nothing in the end.

Today I will like to propose that you take The Alternate Path. This path doesn??t even require you to fight the fear because it is too much of a hassle and hard work. Instead, take time to find the right angle to tackle the problem. With regards to public speaking, the right angle in my opinion, refers to ways you can be successful right from the beginning. Here are some ways that worked extremely well for me.

1. Find a group of audience that loves you from the start. You can never go wrong by starting to speak in front of a group that wants you to succeed. And this group could be as small as just your little puppy or your beloved wife or even your buddies from the army! I would also strongly recommend you to join the Toastmasters! It is an organization that was set up with the sole goal of making you and me successful in public speaking. And from my experience, they have one of the best community of people you can ever be with.

2. Start by taking small steps Yes. Stop trying to speak like Abraham Lincoln or Winston Churchill. You will never be as good as them. There is a reason why they are legendary. Instead pick someone your own caliber. Say your school lecturer or your CEO! If you can be half as boring as him or her at your first speech, consider that a big success. Go out and celebrate! Always give yourself a chance to win, no matter how small the win is. It is much easier to move forward that way. And in no time, you will find yourself joining the ranks of highly competent speakers!

3. Start by focusing on your strengths. I have mentioned this one before in my earlier post. Every speaker is unique. Take time to discover your strengths. Focus on them. Say you are extremely energetic on stage. Explore how you can leverage that energy on stage. If your friends think you are funny and not lame (that??s a world of difference!), start studying how you can be funnier. It is painless if you focus on your strengths. You will also start noticing yourself improve much faster. And the praises you received from your friends will only accelerate your growth as a speaker.

As Fred indicated in this book: ??The right angle ?? is always in the direction of greater ease and effortlessness.?? Note: you are NOT avoiding the job (becoming a successful speaker). You are merely avoiding the hard work of becoming one. So if you are sick and tired of working so hard with little results, take on The Alternate Path.

Be extremely lazy!

About the Nutrients in Olives
category : Food-and-Drink

Green olives are olives that were picked before they are ripened. Black olives were picked ripe and dipped in an iron solution to stabilize their color. After they are picked, green lives and black olives are soaked in a milk solution of sodium hydroxide and then washed thoroughly in water to remove oleuropein, a naturally bitter carbohydrate.

Then green olives may be allowed to ferment before they are packed in a brine solution. Black olives are not allowed to ferment before packaging, which is why they taste milder than most green olives. Green olives that do not ferment before packing taste as mild as black olives.

Greek and Italian olives are black olives that taste sharp because they have not been soaked to remove their oleuropein. They are salt-cured and sold in bulk, covered with olive oil that protects them from oxygen and helps preserve them. Olives are a high fiber, high fat food that derive 69 to 78 percent of their calories from olive oil, a predominantly unsaturated fat.

A serving of five olives, green or black, weighing 19 to 22 g, has 2 g fat. A serving of ripe olives has 1 g dietary fiber while green olives has less than 1 g. Those that are on low-fat and low-sodium diet should exclude or avoid this food.

When buying olives, look for tightly sealed bottles or cans. Small olives are less woody than large ones. Green olives have a more astringent taste than black olives. Greek olives, available only in bulk, have a sharp spicy taste. Pitted olives are the best buy if you want to slice the olives into a salad, otherwise olives with pits are less-expensive and a better buy.

Always store unopened cans or jars of lives on a cool, dry shelf. Once you’ve opened a can of olives, take the olives out of the can and refrigerate them in a clean glass container. In order to avoid having the olives taste too salty, bathe them in olive oil before using.

Olives are also processed for its oil. They are pressed to produce olive oil, one of the few vegetable oils with a distinctive flavor and aroma. Olive oils are graded according to the pressing from which they come and the amount of free oleic acid they contain. The presence of free oleic acid means that the oil’s molecules have begun to break down. Virgin olive oil is oil from the first pressing of the olives. Pure olive oil is a mixture of oils from the first and second pressings. Virgin olive oil may contain as much as 4 percent free oleic acid. Fine virgin olive oil may contain 3 percent free oleic acid, superfine virgin olive oil 1.5 percent, and extra virgin olive oil 1 percent.

Olive oil is a more concentrated source of alpha-tocopherol (vitamin E) than olives. Because it is high in unsaturated fatty acids, whole carbon atoms have double bonds than can make room for more oxygen atoms, olive oil oxidizes and turns rancid fairly quickly if exposed to heat or light. To protect the oil, store it in a cool and dark cabinet.
